Board gender diversity and firm performance: new evidence from cultural diversity in the boardroom

Purpose This study extends the current literature in context of European countries by showing that women's participation on board can enhance financial performance a company while moderated many cultural factors. Design/methodology/approach examines 19 throughout period 2010–2020. The time-invariant or individual fixed-effect models are used. Findings authors found high power distance and masculinity undermine impact gender diversity firm performance. gender-diverse reports statistically significant negative return asset (ROA) equity (ROE) index. Originality/value research will be value to directors, practitioners concerned authority who desire polish up governed norms.
